Birthing Beautiful Communities works to improve maternal health outcomes and support Black mothers in Cleveland.
Underdogs partnered with the organization to support their Annual Report and storytelling efforts — contributing our services pro bono in support of their mission.
This was not a transactional engagement. It was a cause we believed in.
We led the design and layout of the organization’s Annual Report across both print and digital PDF formats.
The objective was clarity and dignity.
The report needed to communicate:
Program impact
Community reach
Donor support
Organizational growth
All while remaining accessible and visually cohesive. The design emphasized readability, structured hierarchy, and thoughtful presentation of data and storytelling.
In addition to the Annual Report, we produced video content highlighting the leadership and story behind the organization — including a feature on CEO Jazmine Long.
The goal was to capture the human side of the mission: the lived experiences, the urgency of the work, and the vision driving it forward.
This wasn’t promotional content. It was documentation of purpose.
For nonprofit organizations, communication directly impacts funding and community trust.
By strengthening their visual storytelling and annual reporting materials, Birthing Beautiful Communities was better equipped to communicate its impact to donors, partners, and the public.
We were proud to contribute our time and expertise to support that effort.
