Kumar Arora and Eric Vajda (better known as DJ E‑V) go back years—both Cleveland natives who first crossed paths in the Los Angeles creative scene. Arora, a marketer‑turned‑serial entrepreneur, relocated to L.A. in 2015, where he reconnected with Vajda—already nationally recognized as a DJ and producer who’d appeared on MTV and BET. Their working relationship deepened through shared ventures in music promotion and creative branding, fuelled by their mutual passion for art, tech, and culture.
After years collaborating informally, they decided to formalize their partnership and co‑found Underdogs, a Cleveland‑based creative and marketing agency. United by their complementary strengths—Arora’s strategic marketing and Vajda’s cultural and musical influence—they launched Underdogs to serve major clients like Nike, Pepsi, and local organizations, channeling both of their talents into one powerful creative force .
